I am helping a friend with his family genealogy. His gg-grandfather was Francis LaBarre, born in 1818 and listed as a "tinner" in the 1853-1857, and 1864 Baltimore City Directories. And, listed as a "tinner" in the 1870 Baltimore census. During the Civil War he was in Company H, 7th Infantry Regiment Virginia (which was made up of volunteers from Washington City, DC and MD).
