This probably won't help much but my uncle's wife, my aunt by marriage is a LaBarre by birth. Her name is Marguerite and I know that she has a sister Leona. I don't know much else other than this LaBarre family is from Holyoke,MA( birthplace of volleyball). Marguerite married my uncle Frederick Beaudry in Holyoke, MA sometime in 1951.
