Found on "RootsWeb" a file on Eva Theresa Fitch 1854,Holland,Manitoba, Canada, marrying one Andrew Jackson LaBarre 1830,Ithaca, NY on 1 Jan 1872 in Alabama. Contributors e-mail address no longer valid. I've even tried finding "James Culbert" with on-line searches. Andrew and Eva Theresa had 3 children: "ERNEST D.Oct 1872", "EARL EVERETT 1878" in AL, and "LENA LOUISE 1884" in Milwaukee WI, Lena married Joshua Morgan Johnson 1881, on 6 June 1908 in Pisgah, AL. and had 8 children all b. AL, two possibly still living. Other names and dates available if it will help. Earl Everett married Ida Lee Pittman on 9 Oct 1910 in Deans Chapel, AL. had 1 child,Merle Marjory 1912. Ernest D. married Maria Larina Williams on 3 Dec 1898, no children listed.
My biggest headache is Eva Theresa's brother, Lawrence E./EVERETT/ERNEST Fitch 1857, this source puts Lawrence E. being b. in San Diego, CA. parents, Seth Fitch 1817, Scipio,NY and Louisa Janet Millard 1838 Bingham, PA. and grandparents. Names and dates all agree with long accepted assumptions. Locations are a different matter. Previous work put both Lawrence ERNEST and Eva Theresa b. in Milwuakee,WI.
My paternal grandmother, (Lawrence's dau-in-law), Rebecca Ann Bird, Fitch 1894, wrote that my grandfather, Claude Waters Fitch 1888, (and for sure b. in San Diego) parents were Lawrence "EVERETT" Fitch and Cora Aleana Lewis 1867. while Cora Aleana Lewis actually traces back to one Anna Fitch 1646, I can't even prove to my satisfaction that Lawrence and Eva Theresa's parents were in fact, Seth and Louisa. One educated "GUESS" is that Lawrence and Theresa decended from one of Anna's brothers. Anyway, I had assumed a typographical error With the "EVERETT/ERNEST" thing untill discovering that Eva Theresa had possibly named one of hers Ernest and another one Everett.
