Hello, I am also related to Antoine Labarge. Do you have his exact birthdate? I only have him born "about 1850"? I am descended thru his son Frank (1879- 1934). Frank married Rose Ladue, very probable sister to Victoria Ladue (I'm waiting for a document to come back)and very strong evidence in family connections which I can expand on if you are interested. I have some info on Antoine and Onrille (Henrelie's) children: Antoine Jr., Dolphus, John, William, Emma, Frank, Charlie and Frederick Labarge. Antoine Eugene Labarge born about 1850 was my grgr grandfather. I had written to Holy Name Cemetery and they had listed Frank's father as Antwin (Antwine, Antoine) Eugene Labarge and "Lillian Forkey". Records also indicate that, the father of the twins, Dolphus & John (born 22 Sep 1872)as being Antoine Laberge and the mother as Aurelie Fortier. Many census that I've found support all of the children listed above. And records for Antoine Laberge Jr. as the father being Antoine Eugene and mother Henrelie Fortier. The difference between Henrelie and Aurelie is nothing since the "H" is silent anyway. However in the 'Marriages (1830-1880) Comte' de Clinton County NY a marriage for Antoine Laberge 1 May 1870 to Aurelie Blouin at Ellenburg is listed. Then, to make matters more confusing in the 1880 census Antwin Labarge is married to Ellen Labarge with children listed as the same as above. I've also seen it written as Laura Labarge. Then, there was the matter of Forkey, Fortier, Blouin. The Fortier to Forkey was an English simplification. However, I had a challenging time trying to figure out Onrillie, Henrelie (Aurelie), Lillian, Ellen as being the same person. As I said above, in 'Marriages (1830-1880) in Comte' de Clinton County, NY' there is the marriage of Antoine Laberge and Aurelie Blouin at Ellenburg, NY. It turns out there's a later correction in the book that Aurelie Blouin is Aurlie Beloei dit Fortier. Therefore, that solved the mystery for me. And, then, luckily, I now have more info on Aurelia (Henrelie, Ellen, Norelia) Forkey dit Blouin. I'm hoping to save someone some valuable time by posting this message if they happen to be looking for her, as well! As far as Antoine Labarge (born about 1850), I do not have any further info back, either. I have some info on Victoria Ladue if you are interested as well. Please let me know by posting to this message board as my email address will be changing soon and there may be other people looking for the info as well. LB Notify Administrator about this message?
