LaBar, William K., of Mt. Pocono, was born April 10, 1868. He was a descendant of Peter LaBar, who was accompanied by his 2 brothers Charles and Abraham to this county. Peter had a large family, and among his sons we have record of George (who died at Spragueville in 1876, age 113); Peter, John, Andrew, Jerry and Isaac. The elder George sold his farm to his son Isaac about 1818 and moved to near Toledo, Ohio. His wife died when he was 98, and at age 100 he married again and died age 105.
Isaac LaBar, son of George, the elder, married Nancy Miller, of Hamilton. Children; Samuel, Charles and Amos being the sons. Amos LaBar married Sallie Fetherman, of Hamilton. Children; Abraham, Mannasseh, Lewis, Elmyra and Nancy.
Abrahm married Anna E., d/o William K. and Elizabeth Snyder, of Delaware Water Gap. Children; Mary, William K., and Charles M. Mary was the w/o Frank B. Staples, and they had no children. Charles married Jennie Lews of Hyde Park and the had one daughter.
William K. married Eva J. Piper, of Gilmanton Iron Works, N.H. Children, Nellie and Frank.
