Tax list for Middle Smithfield, Monroe Co-1796, included, John Bunne, Gershom Bunnel, John Bunnel, Nicholas Depue, Cornelius Depue, Isaac Jayne, David Jayne, Ebenezer Jayne, Wiliam Jayne, Sara Jayne, George Labar. Single men, John Labar.

Tax list for 1840- Melchior Depue, Peter Jane, Charles La Bar, Depue De Bar, George W. La Bar, George La Bar. George Labar

Stroud Twp- Early settlements. Charles Miller located at an early date upon the farm now owned by Lewis Drake. Children; Thomas, Abel, Amos, James, Nancy,w/o __ La Bar, Katey, w/o Conrad Evans. The name of Millr is extinct in the twp, the property now being owned by Lewis Drake, the great-grandson of Mr. Miller.

Hollinshead, Peter and James, both physicians came from NC., and settled in Stroud twp. James married Sarah, d/o Jacob Stroud, and had 7 children who grew to mature years; Sally w/o Anthony McCoy, Edwin A., Stroud J., Daniel, Elisabeth, James and Ann. Stroud J. married Jeannette La Bar

Aerts, Josephus Jacobus Aerts, came with Lafayette from France joined the Rev. army. Changing his name to Francis Joseph Smith. He married Elisabeth Brodhead. Children, Jane, w/o __ Dimmock, Elisabeth, w/o _ Wallace, Sally, w/o _ Shoemaker, Rachel, w/o LaBar, Julia Ann, w/o _ Cross and Francis Joseph. The latter settled iin E. Stroudsburg, in the residence now occupied by his son Jesse. Mrs. Stroud Hollinshead, d/o of Mr. La Bar.

Van Vliet, Derrick, born in Amsterdam, Sept 1699, emigrated to Esopus in 1728. Moved to PA. His son Charrick VAn Vliet, located on Sambo Creek. He married Barbara La Bar, and had one son, Derrick and several daughters. Derrick married Rachel Staples, d/o John
