Your descendent from Antoine Louis Descomps dit Labadie and his Sauteuse wife Marie. Sauteuse is a name which was used apparently by the French priests to identify an indian of Ottawa descent Pontiac was Ottawa. There are records indicating that He was on "feasting" terms with Antoine's father. Just follow back in this forum looking for entries from Lynn Steel. I believe she was the one to note that data. Marie had 8 children identified as the Badichon children. All were baptised, including Marie in 1783. She died in 1784. The first child was born in April of 1769, the same month that Pontiac was murdered. There is no record of the "Country marriage" of Marie as it was performed apparently by an indian chief, and only the priests kept records of only thier marriages.

By the way Mary Blair is descendent from Louis Rock and Marguerite Paquin (grandparents).

Gerry
