Hi Gerry: Are you sure about the year for Marie's baptism? Denissen has it listed as 1782 the same as the copy of the certificate that I have. Also a death record as saying 1785? She couldn't have died then if she married Benjamin Gregoire dit Nantais in 1799. I have seen her name on the different baptismal certificates of her and Benjamin's children listed as Marie Labadie, Marie Descomps, Mary Labadie, Mary Descomptes. Denissen does not have a death date for Marie but Benjamin was buried May 26 1853 at Assumption Sandwich. I would guess that Marie was buried there also but maybe not. Their last recorded child was born in 1826 which was my husband's GGgrandfather.
