Jody. Sometimes things work out. I managed to find the baptizmal records for Joseph, Antoine and Angelique in the records of L'Eglise de l'Assomption de la pointe de Montreal du Detroit a.k.a the Rose Chapel. They are positive proof that the children were born of a Sauteuse woman whose name was not given. Refer to my messages 269 and 270 under Marie Mannon. Now the only problem is to research the sale of Mannon to Labadie. If that shows the woman as "PANISE" then most likely she was PAWNEE as that is the origin of the name PANISE. That would leave us wondering if Marie is the real name of the mother and if she was really Pontiac's daughter as she is proven to be Sauteuse.

Can you help research those questions?

Gerry
