Hello Sydney,
I never received notification from Genforum that a message was sent to me last year. I just happened to be on the Laabs site today and saw your post. I'll have to ask my husband as it is thru his maternal line the going ons since 1971. My memory is not so good at times. His grandfather Alfred W. Laabs ( son of William Laabs & Ann Mierke) passed away 24 Sept 1985. Harry E. Laabs( son of Franklin Laabs & Ella Logemann) passed away 26 Oct. 2006. Now, Alfred W. Laabs sister Ulrika Augusta Laabs Milestone is still living, she will be 97 this month. I've tried to get her to tell some family info, especially for you Terri, if you happen to read this, but she refuses to talk.
