This Lucina Kivett can be no other, in my opinion, than the daughter of Leander and Lusanda (Williams) Kivett of the Franklinville area of Randolph County. You can see her aged 9, living with her father and mother as Lousina Kivett in 1850. You can also see her, aged 40, living in Alamance County as a millhand in the household of James Johnson, older brother of your Peter Johnson. The question is, what was her relationship to the Kivetts? Rosanna is a common Kivett name, but I don't know how this Rosanna Johnson connects. Leander had no sister named Rosanna, to my knowledge. He had several cousins named Rosanna, however. Haley Johnson died in May 1860 and is listed in the schedule of mortality for Alamance County. I think he may be related to my Johnson family in Alamance County, but I'm not sure. My ancestor was Ransom Johnson and wife Susan. Their child Aquilla Johnson ("Ackwell") also lived in Alamance, that same area of the county as your Haley. There are very few records related to Ransom. No census, deeds, estates--but there is a marriage record, and records of purchases he made and debts he owed various people. Haley is old enough to be a brother or cousin of Aquilla.

I am also descended from a sister of Leander Kivett, strangely enough--Louisa who married Riley Williams.
