Thanks William. I'm just beginning research on the Kivett family and appreciate any help.
I have found Haly and Rosana Johnston (Other records spell it Johnson) in the 1850 Alamance County, North Carolina census. Apparently Haly died before 1860 because Rosana and the children are listed without him in subsequent censuses.I don't have Rosana's death date. She was in the 1880 census, but I did not find her in the 1900 census.
