Actually his part in the survay was Kansas, Where he took a homestead in Logan county. The fist six Children were born in Kansas, the last two were born near Harrisonville, Mo.
After the birth of John, "Dora" wasn't in good health and they returned to family in the Harrisonville area of North west Missouri. When she had regained her health they returned to kansas and lived there until they took claims in Nebraska.
Isaac F. Kivett was my grandfather...He spent his last years in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado and died in Denver from Brights disease. Both he and Dora, who died in an accident in Idaho are both buried in Denver.
