Hmmm, I don't know but, it would appear that from the north of Holland east to what is modern Poland a dialect known as Plaitt Deustch is spoken. This common bond thru a dialect also known as "low German" tells me that this ethnic group might also be bonded in other ways. My German neighbor(from north Prussia) speaks this dialect and tells me that this dialect is more Dutch than German. So, maybe your roots might be in this group. It should prove to be an interesting search.
