Warren, I'm not attached to the KIVETT line that I am aware of, but wanted to throw this tidbit in for what it is worth because to my knowledge there is absolutely no proof other than a mother or grandmother speaking in Dutch (I am told). My BROWN line lived in the Stinking Quarters Creek area and with names like Adam, Frederick, Peter, Conrad, Mariah, I thought they were of German origin. Someone has now told me they were from The Netherlands. I don't have proof one way or the other! Maybe that area wasn't as German as we'd thought; although, I have a Bible handed down that is written in German, but, alas, there is nothing in it except 1820-1807=13. Also, my HUMBLE line from that area apparently were from Holland because when Rhoda COX BROWN died her death certificate said "Kingdom of Holland". Know this wasn't true, because she wasn't born until 1855 and her HUMBLE ancestor died ca 1834 and he came before her!
