Conrad Ihrie came to Pennsylvania from Germany on the ship St. Andrew and was listed as Ehrich. The name in Germany was Ihrig. I have his ancestors and have been to Germany. However I have not been able to check my line to Conrad. He had a son Peter and a daughter Elizabeth. I am not in Peter's line because I have it and have been to one of their reunions. But my great, great grandfather was John Ihrie married to Ann Arnold. John died in 1828 and in 1840 his wife Ann gave up the estate. I had thought John died in 1840 but have heard that it was really 1828. Elizaabeth married a John Arndt. I think Peter's daughter Elizabeth married a Kichlein.(My material spelled it Kichline). The Ihrie family was a very prominent family in Easton, Pa. and the county's papers were put in Conrad's attic during the Revolutionary War so they wouldn't be found in the Court papers. I think Conrad also had a son Benjamin but can't find anything about him. Hope this helps you and that you may have information to help me. I have been at this for many years and would like to have it completed in my lifetime. Lucille Ihrie Greaves ligreaves@yahoo.com
