Jacquays Family, New York and Michigan

I am looking for family connections for my ancestor, Katherine JAQUAYS, born 31 May, 1825 in Chittenango Co., NY to Jonathan Jaquays and Mary "Polly" CAMPBELL. Katherine married Richard BLOOD circa 1841. They settled in Cass Co., MI and had 15 children born between 1841 and 1870! Katherine's father, Jonathan Jaquays, was born 22 February, 1803 in New York and died 29 April, 1871 in Volinia, Cass County, Michigan. Jonathan and Polly Jaquays had 10 or 12 children. The names I have are: Oliver (born 1824, married Sarah VAN SICKLE), Katherine (1825-1898), Jerrus (born 1831, married Adelia BOWLES), John Stafford (1832-1907, NFI), Smith C. (born 1836, married Anstress Jane BOWLES, died 1865 of disease while serving in the Civil War), Maryette (born 1838, married William D'land CLELLAND), Anne E. (born circa 1844, married ? COPLEY), Williams (dob inknown, married Jennie YETTER), Sabrina (dob uknown, married Frank Campbell, Henriette (dob unknown, married Alfred HOPKINS), Copley (NFI) and Remies (NFI). Five of these children are known to have died in Michigan and are buried in Cass County.

Jonathan's Michigan death record lists the names Samuel and Sabrina Jaquays as Jonathan's parents.

Somehow, I think the worst of my problems completing this lineage are concerned with the variant spellings of this family name. Just in my line alone, I am finding this surname spelled JAQUAYS, JACQUAYS, JACKWAYS and JAKWAYS in various places. JAQUAYS is the one that seems to be used most consistently,

Any assistance with this deadest of dead ends would be gratefully appreciated!
