Thank you for giving me the names of
Alfred Matthews' family. I think I have seen
him in the Neshoba Co., MS census where the
Stewarts moved. If I can find it, I will
send to you. My Hugh Matthews named a
William as son in his will who was probably
born between 1710-? who lived in Virginia.
Later this William lived in Edgecombe Co.,NC
His father's will was dated Nov 7, 1747 in
Nottoway, Southhampton, Virginia. His wife
was Martha Johnson. Probably a different one
