My father was adopted from an orphanage in Evanston, IL in 1927. We have reason to believe his birth name was Jacoby and are seeking confirmation of this. If anyone knows of family stories of such an event, even anecdotal, we would like some confirmation of our true surname. We aren't really seeking to make contact with lost relatives, just trying to connect the dots of our family history. Thank you.
