Does anyone know anything about the family of William S. Jacoby (1846-1922/3)? He was born in Philadelphia, son of Henry and Hester A. Jacoby. Henry was born in Prussia and was a candy manufacturer. Hester was born in Delaware. Besides William, they had Annie (b. ca. 1847), John N. (b. ca 1851) and Sophia M. (b. ca 1855). Annie married (1) Henry Brinkman, per 1870 census, but by 1880 it appears she remarried to a Herman Sundermeier.
Henry Jacoby was the son of of Henry Jacoby Sr. and wife, Maria, both also of Prussia. Henry Sr. is alive and living with his son and daughter-in-law in 1870 (age 76). He passes away by 1880, and I know from William Jacoby's biography that his parents die in the mid-1880s. William was a famous evangelist in his day, associate pastor to Dr. Torrey, 2nd President of Moody Bible Institute. I have plenty of information on William, but am curious as to his antecedents.
