Ed C. Jacobus - Newark NJ turn of century

Good morning,
I am not a Jacobus researcher, and am posting this for information only. I have my great-grandfather's Pullman Company notebook. He was a foreman at Waldo Ave. Yard, Jersey City NJ. The notebook dates from around 1899 and covers a number of years. My great-grandfather was Wilbur J. Emley (1877-1939). I am trying to transcribe the notebook (it is tiny, and extremely unreadable) and have added it to my Pullman online group. One entry is as follows:

Ed C. Jacobus, 602 Bergen St. Newark

That is all it says, and I have nothing further to add. I don't know of his connection with my ancestor, or the Pullman Company.
