As I said in my previous post, my grandmother was a Stanberry. Very interesting that you had a Stanbourgh in your family as the Stanborough, Stanborowe, Stan(s)berry name came from England in 1640 to Sagg Harbor, Long Island New York and Salem, Mass. Also in the shipping buisness, as I have heard the Jacobs' were associated with the Fleet shipping line. What a small new world our forefathers lived in. My Jacobs line is from Anne Arundel County. Don't know how or by whom they came to NC Would be interested in what you have.
