There is another similar deed in Sussex County Delaware following the one I abstracted for Kendall. This time, the grantors are John Jacobs, son of John Jacobs dec'd, and his sister Elisha Jacobs and John Rudasil, husband of John's late sister, Sally Rudasil, all of Rowan County North Carolina. The Sussex County, Delaware deed is recorded at AH #31, f-230.
Jonathan (John) Jacobs died in Sussex County, Delaware, circa 1807. His heirs included Kendall, Alicia, John, Sally and a minor son, Robert. Jonathan Jacobs (d. 1807) was the son of Kendall Jacobs (d. 1778) and Sarah Hays. There is a 1787 marriage license in nearby Dorchester County, Maryland, for Jonathan Jacobs and Elizabeth Reed. There is also a Caroline County, Maryland, marriage license on August 17, 1801, for Jonathan Jacobs and Sarah Wright. There is also a land record which mentions that Jonathan Jacobs married Leisha, the daughter of Robert Clarkson.
The last record for Kendall and John Jacobs in Delaware are the deeds of 1812. I would be very interested in learning more about this branch of the family after they migrated to North Carolina. I descend from Jonathan Jacobs' brother, Curtis Jacobs, who remained in Delaware and is the progenitor of a large family there.
