I think that the William you are referring to is from a different family. There was a William Jacobs and James Jacobs (son of William) that moved to Rusk County from Tennessee. They were originally from Virginia so I don't think that Meshack or George are related to William. There is a family tree on ancestry.com that has George W. Jacobs (born in 1823) in the family of Shadrack Jacobs. There are several other siblings listed: Andrew Jackson Jacobs 1819 - GA Emeline Jacobs -f-1824 - GA Oswell D Jacobs 1827-m- - Womack Hill, Choctaw Co. Al. Sina Jacobs 1828 -f- MS Nancy Jacobs -f- 1829 Osborn Jacobs -m- 1830 - Fl Charles B. Jacobs -m- 1830 5 Nov There is no citation for this so not entirely sure how accurate this is. Oswell Jacobs spent much of life in Bryce Hospital, a mental/ psychiatric facility in Tuscaloosa, AL. He was admitted some time after 1863. The hospital still exists and may have some old archives. I don't know where Meshack fits in. He may not be included in the list or could be part of Joshua Jacobs family. Notify Administrator about this message?
