OBIT: Mary Newbia Jacobs Feb 14, 1938

It is strange that I found this exactly 70 years to the day that Mary passed away. While looking in an old family Bible I found a news clipping of her Obit. She first married Jasper Wooten and then married Frost Jacobs. I am leary of posting the complete Obit that I typed from the original due to the length, but will paste some of the info below. I can send anyone who request it the MS Word transcript and also the scan of the Obit itself. My family (Willis) is related to the Jacobs somehow but I haven't gone into that yet. I also have the clipping of Wiley Jacobs b. Apr 7, 1889.

"We feel that God blessed and watched over Mrs. Jacobs as he allowed her to reach the ripe old age of 87 years before removing her from this life. She was Miss Mary Newbia before her marriage. In her teens, she was married to Mr. Jasper Wooten, who preceded her to the grave in their early married life. To them were born three children, Mrs. Liss Bryan, Freemanville, AL; Mr. Frank Wooten, Atmore, and Mr. Jim Wooten, Elba Route 1.
In Later years she was married to Mr. Frost Jacobs, when she became step-mother to six children; Charles Jacobs, who preceded her to the grave in 1932; Mr. George Jacobs, Madison, Fla; Mr. Byrd Jacobs, Opp; Mr. John Jacobs, Jack; Mrs. Ella Jackson, Samson, and Mrs. Nola Adams, Elba.
To them were born five children: Mr. Wiley Jacobs, Mr. Escar Jacobs, Mrs. Ida Jackson, Misses Lizzie and Nicy Jacobs, all of Jack."
