I’ve been reading through old posts on this topic but haven’t quite found what I’m looking for.
I descend from Richard Jacobs, b. 1826 in TN (Bedford Co.?), but that is as far back as I had traced this line. Richard married Edna Carson, b. 1827 in TN. I descent from their son James Ross Jacobs, b. 1856 in Coffee Co., TN.
I’ve seen AWT info online which shows Richard’s parents being Alfred Jacobs (b. abt 1800) and Polly Conner (b. abt 1802), and from there the Jacobs line goes back quite far (Joseph b. 1750 -> Jeremiah b. 1723 -> etc.). But thus far I have not found the source proving that Richard was a child of Alfred and Polly. Any information would be appreciated. Given the amount of info which seems to exist on this Jacobs line, it would be good to confirm this connection.
Richard’s siblings might have been John Wesley, Arminda and Calvin C. So if you descent from them and have confirmed Alfred Jacobs to be the father, I would also appreciate any info you can share.
If anybody is interested, I have a decent photo of Richard Jacobs.
