My ancstry search is around two sets of brothers: John and English Calvin Jacobs from KY to AR, married Wingfield sisters Jane Jinney and Mary Ann.
I located two of English Calvin (3rd G Grandfather) Jacobs' sons, one (gg grandfater) Thomas Van Buren Jacobs died 1861 in AR,the other Beverly Rector Jacobs died in McCurtain Co., OK. Beverly Rector married Rhoda Pearl Baker, most of Beverly and Rhoda's children lived and died in McCurtain Co., OK., and descendants live there today. Beverly Rector moved his family from AR to OK (IT) in 1900 when his nephew, son of deceased brother Thomas Van Buren, moved his family to OK (IT). Beverly was there for his brother's son, George Washington Jacobs, SR., who married (2nd) Elizabeth Isabel Epperson. I have not been able to locate George Washington's son (by first wife Joella E) Monte J. Jacobs, in ARK., after 1860 census.
Second set of brothers:
Wingfield and John Jacobs, sons of John Jacobs (4th g uncle)(brother to English Calvin) were taken to Texas by their mother Jane Jinney (who married Jacob Brinley in AR). I located these two brothers in Cherokee,TX on 1850 census with Jacob Brinley.
I followed Wingfield until the 1880 census, his widow Susan Catherine Elkins is on the 1910 census with son John C (G) Jacobs and his family living with her. Located this son in Nacoqdoches(?), TX in 1900 census, then he went back to Cherokee, TX. Have lost all of the others children and their descendants.
Wingfield's brother John was easy to trace, as were most of his children; they settled in Lavaca, TX, and some descendants reside there today. John married Nancy Jane Garner.
Does any one have a connection to my Jacobs family, and can you help me fill in these lines?
