It gets better! Minor point, I'm really a Mr. with a girl's name. Please call me Courtney. My wife is Jacqueline, maiden name Cain. Her father is Raymond James Cain and her mother is Dorothea, maiden name Jacobe. Her father is Ivan James Jacobe and Emma M. Jacobe, maiden name Schlicht. Ivan's father was John Jacobe who was Elizabeth's (Lizzie) brother. All of this is fascinating, but how about this: John Jacobe's wife's name was Cora Albro! Could it be that your Lella Maria Albro is related? The assistant to the town historian of Tully, New York is none other than Blanche Rainbow, who knows a great deal about the Rainbow line. She believes she is related to Simeon Rainbow who served with Company "C" of the 157th New York Infantry regiment who was killed at Gettysburg. I am arranging to get his military records from the Archives. I will talk to Blanche about you two contacting one another. There is more! Nelson Beardsley of Bedford, Kentucky is a descendent of another Jacob Jacobe daughter, Christina who was John and Lizzie's sister. And somewhere in my notes is the address of Richard Arthur Cardner who descends from Mary Etta Jacobe, who was named after an earlier daughter who died at 10 or so. He is doing what you and I are doing. So we now have descendants of five of Jacob's children on the job, because Ruth Stearns who lives nearby is Charlie Jacobe's daughter. Here is the list of Jacob and Julia's children in approximate order eldest first: Mary Jacobe-----------1846-1856 Elizabeth (Lizzie)----1850- Sophie----------------1852 (may be the one buried at sea) Charles---------------1856-1941 Christina-------------1857- Catherine-------------1859- Mary Etta Jacobe------1860-1941 John------------------1864-1943 George----------------1866- Henry-----------------? And there is still more! We have copies of 45 pages of informal lists of attendees at Jacobe Family Reunions from 1917 to 1929. Mildred Rainbow attended the 13th Annual Reunion on June 15, 1929, at Deuane Rainbow's home and the year before at William Albro's home on June 9. Here is the list in order of Rainbow's who attended the first Jacobe gathering on September 15, 1917: Vice President: Miss Rosa Rainbow Duane and Marion Rainbow Mrs. Charles Rainbow Sr. Alton Rainbow Mrs. Charles Rainbow Jr. Kenneth Rainbow Gordon Rainbow Leslie (sp?) Rainbow Fred Rainbow Blanche Rainbow (who may be the lady I know...I will ask). Is that enough for now? Courtney
