JEAN or 'JANE' GARRIE was born at Girvan, Ayrshire about 11 February 1803 and died at Maybole Ayrshire in February 1889. She was the daughter of WILLIAM GARRIE and MARY nee NICOL. 'JANE' married EDWARD CLENACHAN at Girvan in June 1833 and had children -
ELIZABETH CLANACHAN (born abt 1833),
ROBERT CLANACHAN (born abt 1837 - married Elizabeth O'Neil)
JEAN 'JANE' CLANACHAN (born abt 1844. She married ALLAN JACKSON born about 1834 (son of Allan Jackson and Mary Johnson/Gibson?)and had ten known children. Connections to this Jackson family apparently exist in Grimsby, Ontario, Canada.) Also marriage links to HAZLE and McEwan families in Scotland.
