Looking for some information on my G-grandmother, Emily Ferguson Jackson Johnson from Beaumont, TX.
She married a Jackson sometime between 1865-1870
I found a 1880 US Census, Lower Sabine, Calcasieu, LA.
Louis Jackson born in Ny age 36 Parents both born in NY
Emily Jackson born in TX age 26 Parents both born in TX
Their son Thomas Jackson born in TX age 5
Thomas A. Jackson is my grandfather he was born in Call, Tx. Jan. 25, 1875 married Maude Cartee Dec. 7, 1907, died Feb. 10, 1959 buried at the Kirbyville Cementary, Kirbyville, Tx.
No one in my family knows my grandfathers fathers name.
All we know is that he was a Tug boat Captain or worked on a Tugboat and was shot and killed off of his back porch in Orange, Tx. Suppose to be buried in Orange County, Tx.
After that Emily Ferguson Jackson Married a Johnson and had a daughter Maggie and sons Bill and Frank Johnson.
Just thought maybe someone from this family would have some information about my G-grandfather, who was married to Emily Ferguson.
