Saw your post on genforum. Wondered if you have any more information on the Jacks Family. My ggrandmother, Mary Lee Townsend states on her SS application that her mother was Bama Jacks and father was Geogia Townsend. I am confident that I have found her on the 1880 Morgan Co AL married to George Townsend and also George's parents 1880 and 1860 in Morgan County. I also have a record of the marriage of George Townsend & Alabama Jacks (Alabama Jacks married George Townsend 23 Aug 1877 by W. A. McDonald, L.E. Brides permission by Mahaley Jacks.)

I know that a Alabama Jacks is listed on the 1860 Census in Coosa county, but my Alabama Jacks was 16 or 19 years old in 1880, so I am not sure this woman in Coosa county is her.

Thanks for any information you can give me.
