Hello all,
My name, as you may have gathered is Erik Jackman. I am the son of Stephen Jackman and the grandson of Matthew Jackman who were both born in Newcastle upon Tyne in England. When my father was young, the family immigrated to Australia and then New Zealand. My father travelled and met a Dutch woman named Stella Scholte and my brother and myself were born as a result.
I am extremely interested in any information anyone might have on the Jackmans of Newcastle. My grandfather lost contact with alot of his family when he immigrated and as a result, my father and aunty do not know alot about any of their ancestery.
I am currently living in Ireland and this has sparked my interest in my family heritage.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
