I'm researching a Jackman family in Ontario with roots in Ireland. James Jackman, Sr. b. 1802 in England or Ireland, (m. Margaret Wiggins) died July 13, 1879 Derby, Grey Co., Ontario. I have found them as early as 1836 and 1847 in Ontario (Derby?). They had the following children (that I know of); James Jr. (b.1828 in Ireland), Thomas (b.1836 in Ontario);Jane, 1841;Charles b.1844 Brampton,Ontario; John 1847;Hugh Bell Jackman 1853, Owen Sound, Grey Co., Ontario. The line I'm tracing is that of Thomas who married Priscilla Corrie. Their son William married Virginia Rook, moved to Chilliwack, British Columbia around 1900. His son Clarence moved to Seattle ~1925. Would be happy to hear of any connections, either lines back to Ireland or current descendents in BC or Ontario. Thanks, Donna.
