It is true that there were Huguenots named Jacquelin that fled to England. One of that family, Colonel Edward Jacquelin, was an early settler in Jamestown, Virginia and was very prominent in the history of the colony. He came from Kent. There is a lot of information available on him on the internet. Whether any changed the name to Jacklin I do not know.
