My grandmother on my mother's side of the family was Margret Haberstock. My grandma died in 1980, in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. My grandma maried William( bill ) Yung, from Bulyea, Saskatchewan, another German name, not oriental. So my mom's name was Adelaide Yung, then she married my dad, Christian Richter. My whole ancestory is German, through and through. I cannot find too much Haberstock info, just the ones around Saskatchewan, like Calder, Saskatchewan, where my grandma grew up. She was born in 1908 there.
I know that they came over on a ship sometime in the 1800's, not sure when, but I could ask around, they would have landed at Ellis Island, NY. I also went to high school with a Haberstock girl, she might know some info, I could try to ask her, she might know something also to help you.Good Luck.
