I'm hitting some walls trying follow this line of family back very far. I can't find Paul and Elizabeth Haag any earlier than 1860. I have cencus records showing Paul came from Germany but I have nothing on Elizabeth's maiden name or where in PA she was born.
I'm posting what I have so far in hopes that someone can shed some light on this line. Hopefully, someone has dug up more than me.

Notes for MAE CLARA HINTON:
Have copy of her application for SS number dated July 14, 1972. Indicates Homer City residence. The applications indicates 162-18-8285 as her SSN. In a letter from Social Security dates February 14, 2000, addressed to HGG, Jr., it is clarified that Mae's correct SSN is 174-50-1723. The "162" number is her husbands. Apparently, she had never applied for a SSN before filing benefits under her husband's number.
