Hello to all the Haack families out there! I am researching the family of Ludwig Haack and his wife Fredericka Sophia nee Wagner. They arrived in Australia circa early 1860s with their infant son August Johannes. They settled at Pyalong Victoria and had the following children:-
Fritz James b 1864 Pyalong m Elizabeth Charman 1896 in WA and died in 1936
William Henry b 1866 Pyalong m Eliza Jane Henderson in 1900 and died in 1946
Mary b 1870 (birth not recorded) m 1895 William Bamford no death date as yet
Bertha b 1870 (birth not recorded) could be twin of Mary died 1899 WA. (Bertha had three children) Marriage not proven.
Charles b 1872 Pyalong M Annabella Wilson Robson died 1956 Vic.
Elizabeth 1872 Pyalong (twin of Charles) d 1872 Pyalong
Ludwig Ernest Henry b 1878 Pyalong M 1905 Alberta Gribble died 1969 Thornbury Vic.
I have not been able to find Ludwig and Frederika entering Australia on shipping lists but both death certificates say they were born and married in Germany. Does anyone out there have a connection. Please Please help.
