My GGgrandfather, Marx Christian Haack was from the Marne area. His son Johann Jacob was my Great grandfather and was a arbiter (worker) in Sankt Michaelis Donn (a smaller town east of Marne). He came to this country in 1882 settling in Grand Island, NE. I visited the area 1998 and have a contact in the Marne Church. He is Kurt Segebrecht, Pastor em. Osterstr. 10 D 25709 Marne Germany.
