I am from the Gay lineage in Jackson County, KY; Sand Gap, and McKee. My grandparents are Guerra. (My mother was Tootsie Gay). My dad was Irving Gay. My grandmother was Lucy Guerra Murphy. I remember from back when I was a child that we are somehow related to the Gabbard family. Don't know any of their names. I have vague memories of Gabbards; I don't remember if they lived in Wanetta. I can remember where they lived in a house on the side of the road, maybe on a cliff. (Memory tends to fade as I near 60 years old).
My mother died in 1957; my dad put us 5 girls in an orphanage and left us. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who knows anything about my family from Ky. I know of no one from my family who can give me any information.
