Nancy, when asking assistance please give as much information as possible. I have seen the name Lemaistre, much in my travels around microfilms in the Normandie area. As you know Jean is a very common name. Please give an idea of location if known, maybe check immigration records. Birthdates or at least specific estimated time frames will help.

Oh, by the way I'm look for John Jones, son William, who ran a deli in New Jersey. See what I mean.

Thanks.

Oh by the way, I did check my files and no Claude and son Jean.

You might want to check www.geneanet.org. It is the major French database for genealogy.

Good Luck.

Jean-Claude
