Hi
Iam trying to trace the above lady, my Great Great Grandmother. She married a John Burn in London in about 1859 and had 10 chidren - JOHN - BORN 1860. ANNA MARIA - BORN 1861. ALEXANDER 1864. ROBERT 1866. JAMES 1867. GEORGE 1869. WILLIAM 1870. LUKE 1873. ELIZABETH 1874 AND CHARLOTTE 1876.
She was also known as MARIA HAMMANT - previously DEVINE and came from France. It is thought that the family came over to London during the French Revolution. They lived in the Fulham, Hammersmith, Chelsea areas. John Burn was a Barber/Hairdresser, as were his sons.
Many thanks
