Anybody know if the Gagnier,Gagne, Gasnier,or other variations of the name, have any roots in France before Louis Gasnier of 1600's. Louise was married to Marie Launay, and had children named Louise and Pierre. Their son Louise married Marie Michel. The seemed to live in Ige or Perche area of France. Have ascendents forward, but none for earlier dates. There is some idea that a Christopher Gasnier, or a Marc Gasnier, may be ascendants, but some question of accuracy has been reported. Thanks for any information any one can provide.
