Thank you for a monumental piece of work. Wendel[5] is my maternal ggfather. I expect that he is a descendent of Wendel[1], but I haven't yet found the connection. He married Mary Ellen Border on 9/5/1880 and had five daughters. If you like, I'll supply the information.
I was unable to find Wendel[3] in Wendel[1]'s household on page 341 of the 1850 census for West Hanover Twp, Dauphin Cty, PA. Was that a misprint?
