My great grand mother was a Fabre. Her name was Josephine Fabre b. 1-April-1872, d. 20-March-1944. I believe she was born in Barataria Louisiana. Her parents were Joseph Fabre and Mathilda Carr. She married Francisco "Frank" Tibo b. 1868 in Madrid Spain, d. 6-March-1902, in 1887. She is buried at Our Lady of Prompt Succor cemetary in Westwego Louisiana, Frank is buried in Barataria Louisiana. Josephine and Frank had 4 children, Frances, John Joseph, Julia Josephine and Mary Daisy. Julia Josephine is my grandmother. She died in 1977. After Frank's death at the young age of 33, Josephine Fabre married Albert Casanova in 1908 and had 5 more children, Alberta, Albert, James, Anthony (Pete) and Mathilda. Jospehine Fabre had at least one sibling that I know of, a sister named Amelia. I don't know Amelia's birthdate, but she died 2-March-1952. Amelia was actually married to Frank's brother Jesse Tibo, so 2 Fabre sisters married 2 Tibo brothers. Amelia and Jesse married 12-June-1897. Amelia Fabre had 6 children, Catherine Mary, Walter Joseph, Jesse Jr., Lena Dorothy, Hilda Bernadette, and Elizabeth "Bessie" Dora Tibo.
This may be more information than you wanted but I know from my own genealogy searches that the more you get the more likely you are to make that connection. Hope all of this helps you.
