Thanks for all the information you gave on both George Eagle's of North Carolina. Son and Father. I found a George eagle on the 1790 census, but back then the census did'nt give too much. I'm 84 and for years Solomon Eagle (1811-1877)has been as far back as I could get. I have a picture of my sister and cusin standing besides his tombstone at St. Matthews Luthern Church in Rowan County. The tombstone is no longer there. It was destroyed. Thanks again for your help.
