I don't know if this helps, but my Great grandmother was Maryann Egan/Eagan. She was also from Cork but emigrated to Bristol, England. I'm wondering if there is a connection here? She married Abraham Taylor. I'm not having much luck finding any information on them. I believe many of their family moved to Australia.
