Hello,
I'm searching an Edes line that I have going back to Tazewell Co. ILL.
My ancestor Harry I Tilden went from WV to San Jose, Logan Co. ILL and married there Ida Edes, daughter of Thomas and Sarah (sometimes called Rebecca) Cline. Thomas had also a son named Roy (called W. T. in the 1880 census) and a daughters Sarah (Sally) and Ella as well. Tazewell Co. is the parent county of Logan Co. so I have a record of Thomas marrying Rebecca there in 1850. Rebecca Cline died early on, Harry and Ida, together with Thomas and his family all moved to Sumner and later Barber Co. KS where Thomas died in 1906.
Recently I found other Edes in Tazewell Co, including Barlett, Jerusha, Mary Ann, Minnie and Rebecca who all married there before 1870.
Others were all born in PA and married there before 1870. The 1880 census show that their parents were born: father in MD and mother in PA. These include: Thomas, Benjamin, Caroline and Elizabeth.
