I just posted this message and was hoping you may have some Darcy info.
In the 1880 census of NYC Richard Darcy age 45 born Ireland and his wife Catherine 40 are shown living with thier 6 children; Anna 13; Lizzie 11; Thomas 9; Mamie 6; Agnes 4; and Peter 2. Two cousins Mary and Anne Commerford also. Richard's occupation is listed as an awning maker. The 1880 census of NYC also shows an Eliza Darcy widow 74 living with 4 of her children Peter 50; William 40; Thomas 33; and Jane 40. Peter's and Thomas' occupations are listed as awning makers too. I'm hoping someone can do some census work 1870 and 1860 to see if these two families are related. Any info on Richard Darcy and Catherine nee Flynn would be greatly appreciated Jim
