I have to reply because everytime I read your post I think "maybe," but, "probably not distant relatives." I guess it has to do with the names.
My great grandmother, Mary Moran, b. 12-19-1828 in Co. Kildared, was daughter of John Moran and Margaret Walsh. Mary married John Darcy of Co. Clare in Montreal 4-25-1853. There sure have been a lot of marriages between Moran, Walsh and Darcy families over the last two centuries. LOL
