John Dabney, Miami Co., Indiana c 1837

I just learned of a lawsuit between George Weaver and a number of defendants including John Dabney, filed in Miami County, Indiana in 1841. It alleges that my step great great grandfather Thomas J. Wyatt sold a tract of land in that County to John Dabney, evidently in or about 1837. Thomas' widow Rebecca (_____) Wyatt Strayer was named as one of the defendants in this suit. Any chance her maiden name could have been Dabney? She was born circa 1814 (date uncertain due to the eroded condition of her tombstone) "near the Natural Bridge, Va." -- presumably Rockbridge County. However, inasmuch as Thomas J. Wyatt was from Randolph County, West Virginia, it's likely that she had moved north or west to some extent by the time of her marriage; possibly to Madison County, Indiana. (Madison County was the home of another defendant; Thomas's brother Edmund S. Wyatt.)
